Dear Friends,

God has really been at work the last few weeks, many remarkable things have happened. Today as I was sitting down to write to you I was very conscious of how much God really does love you.

It can be quite amazing how various truths of the scriptures seem to reside with you until you have absorbed what God is saying and then they seem to subside. As I contemplated this I realised what a wonderful God we do have and how proud He is of you all and how big God's heart really is. Consider the following as proof of what I'm saying.

-His love is so undying for you He was willing to die for you.

-God loved you so much He was willing to allow His own son to suffer for you.

-God created mankind for fellowship with Him and He is aching to have that again.

-The love between a husband and wife is just a shadow of God's love for us.

-The love we have for our own children is minute compared to how loved we are.

-He is willing to give everything to us and spend eternity with us.

I don't think there is a selfish bone in Jesus' body. Sometimes I think to myself "Wouldn't it be great if Jesus was here with us and could speak with us." Then I realise that we have the Holy Spirit dwelling right within our hearts and that is even better. The only thing keeping us from really feeling His love and knowing it is that we don't spend enough time getting to know Him.

"Oh God I'm sorry we don't spend the time with you, will you forgive us."

God is incredibly devoted to you and here is a scripture I want you to have to encourage you this weekend.

Romans 5:8-9 "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God's judgement."

So He loved us while we were still sinners. I don't know about you, but to think that God loved me despite the mess I was, I think that is the most terrific thing I've ever heard.

God Bless, have a great weekend

David
