There are some people who have the idea that God doesn't love humanity and that recent tragedies like the Indian Ocean Tsunami are His fault. The Bible teaches us that these tragedies are the result of SIN, and not God's fault. In fact God  wishes that no-one would perish and has provided forgiveness for sins for everyone who believes and calls out to Him. However, in the midst of tragedies such as the tsunami, God's hand is at work everywhere reaching out to victims. He shows His love to people through other human beings who know and love Him. Mother Theresa was an example of this kind of love in action. She live a sacrifical and loving life and through her actions the love of God became real to people. It is the same now because through the actions and deeds of many thousands of Christian aid workers and other christians living in these parts of the world, the love of God is expressed. Here is a picture of my father John Alley recently taken with some of the victims of the tsunami in Tamil Nadu, a southern state of India. |
