| 8 Days ago the Pope John Paul II passed away and went to be with the Lord. Although I'm not a Roman Catholic and most of the people I know are not either, I am convinced that this was a godly man that we should honour and respect for his devout and faithful life and service to God. Every denomination has weaknesses and faults, whether it be the Lutherans, Baptists, Pentecostals or the Roman Catholics. Finding fault with one another however is not something that God wants us to do, we should instead love and honour one another and accept each other whilst at the same time still encouraging each other on to greater love and devotion to Jesus. Jesus taught us to instead "take the speck out of our own eye," or in other words, to examine our own hearts to fix our own faults first. So at this time of great sadness for the Roman Catholic Church, let us honour and respect this great man who has done far more for Jesus and the gospel than we may ever realise. I will email the list regarding this subject this week. [copy of email] |
