| Yesterday was a pretty busy day and so I wasn't able to get on the internet, but the sons retreat down at the beach concluded in spectacular style and last night we started the Apostolic Summit conference. I really feel that I cannot possibly hope to explain to you what God is saying here and how clear and important and life changing it is. It would be a bit like trying to drink all the water in a bath tub in one go.......I just couldn't do it. Some of the particular themes that God has been revealing through the Apostles and Prophets that have shared so far have been very much concerned with our heart towards others. God is bringing back the heart of Fathers (apostles and other mature christians) back to the children and then the children can give their hearts to the fathers. As I sit and listen I have been constantly challenged to change things in my own heart which I can see have not been the right attitude. I can see that I have loved the people in my church but I have been too busy for them.......a bit like a father who has no spare time to spend with his kids. I can see that I'm spending a lot of time on the unimportant things but missing the most important thing. I have also been deeply challenged to never allow a word of accusation or criticism to ever leave my lips, even if what I say seems true because I don't know what God is doing in another's life and I may be inadvertently cursing them. The messages here have cut to the heart and they have not been merely the words of men, but truly the words of God. I can see that I have months of email content that I can write about now for a long time to come. I'll write some more tomorrow. Tomorrow I may get to play in the band here too which I am looking forward too.......I love to play music to God, its one of my gifts. |
