The Bible is very plain that God loves everyone, including Muslims. However many Muslims do not feel that God loves them. Muslim people have developed a perception that God is unloving, basically because they have grown up in an unloving religion which demands performance to be loved. They believe (as do most humans) that you have to earn love. However we know that our God described in the Bible is a loving God who does not require us to perform to earn love, He gives His love away as a free gift to anyone who wants it.The Injil (part of the Bible) has much to say about the mercy and love of God. Below are some scriptures showing this. The problem is, we cannot receive of this love without faith in Jesus. Without Jesus it is impossible to receive of the love of God. Here are some Bible verses to explain what I mean: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, so that everyone who believes in Him, will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 "So we praise God for the wonderful kindness He has poured out on us because we belong to His dearly loved Son. He is so rich in kindness that He purchased our freedom through the blood of His Son, and our sins are forgiven." Ephesians 1:6-7 "God showed His great love for us by sending [Jesus] to die for us while we were still sinners." Romans 5:8 As you can see, the love of God is given to us through Jesus, and we can find this love if we receive Jesus. Once we have received Jesus and are filled with the love of God, then many promises of good things become ours. Here are some of many hundreds of these precious promises: "Dear friends, since God loved us so much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love has been brought to full expression through us. And God has given us His Spirit as proof that we live in Him and He in us." 1 John 4:11-13 "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 These scriptures from the Injil are just a few of many passages that confirm God does indeed love us. To receive this love, we need to receive Jesus into our lives and commit our ways to him. We must come to know Jesus and believe Him.....you can begin a new life of faith in Jesus today. |
