| Dear Friends,
2005 has been a very productive, busy and wonderful year. Its also been a year when many sad and disastrous things have happened all around the world starting with the tsunami last December, and including other terrible events like the flooding of New Orleans. Personally I feel that I have been challenged by God to walk deeper and further with him and that brings me a lot of security and stability.
At the same time I am aware that this world is changeing and that without Jesus in our lives there is not a lot of hope and not much comfort. Only in Jesus do we find these things. Jesus is the way the truth and the life.
It is at this time when the world may seem uncertain but the truth is that in Christ we have a great certainty. We don't have to worry or panic or be stressed or concerned. In Jesus we can rejoice that He really is the Saviour of the world. When we place our trust in Him and His abilities we are able to rest from trying to make things happen in our own strength. Even if things do turn against us, we know that God is still in control and we are able to walk with Him through these difficulties.
I wish you all the best this festive season and pray that you will have the peace of God in your heart and know Him better. I would encourage you to find yourself in a Church this Christmas and remember the great and wonderful thing that God did for us in sending His Son into the world as a baby.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time
On December 26 I will be leaving and taking 5 weeks holidays. This will be a resting time for me and also a time for me to seek God and to know Him better. I want to hear His voice and know what He wants me to do for Him in 2006 and to devote my life to His plans. Please remember me in your prayers too. I will email when I get back from my rest.
I love you in the Lord Take care David |
