Dear Friends,

Its a lovely day today in Mount Morgan........you should see the sun shining outside.......its pristine. Would love to have you join us here sometime.

Many years ago I read a book in which the main character, a man called Tyler got angry with God. He refused to pay any more attention to God. Some things had gone wrong in his life and he blamed God for it and that more or less ended his relationship with God. Fortunately it had a happy ending and Tyler came around again through some circumstances that happened. (its been a while since I read it so I can't remember it all).

After reading this book I decided I would never get angry with God and even though there have been times in my life that haven't gone well I have never blamed God. However there are places in the Bible though where people were very honest with God about how they felt, King David was one of those people. The Psalms are records of many songs that He wrote and here are some of the things he said to God in them:

Psalm 13:1 "O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way?"

Psalm 10:1 "Lord, why do you stand so far away? Why do you hide when I need you the most?"

Psalm 22: 2 "Every day I call to you, my God but you do not answer. Every night you hear my voice, but I find no relief."

King David was very honest before God. He wasn't afraid of letting God know how he felt about things, or even how he felt towards God himself. There are even places where King David expressed great frustration and anxiety, sorrow and anger. Was this a sin?

In Tyler's case his anger was a sin because he directly blamed God and also used it as an excuse to turn his back on God. In King David's case however it was not a sin, but an example of honesty before God that came from pure motives. King David was genuine before God sharing how he felt because he sincerely wanted more of God and wanted his prayers answered. Tyler however was not sincere he was only looking for excuses.

So it all comes down to what the motive of our heart is. Things will not always go perfectly for us while we are on earth and we will not always understand what God is doing, but we can keep a sincere an pure heart and seek God just the same. When you pray, be honest with God and tell him how you feel and seek after Him. One thing is certain, a sincere seeker will be a finder.

Bless you
Cheers
David
