Dear Friends,
Greetings, Hows things with you? I've been stuck in front of the TV the whole weekend watching the war. I'm not really sure what to make of the whole situation in the middle east. Just keep it in my prayers I suppose.
A good friend of mine is here at the moment. Nathan is a large fierce guy with a great sense of humour and a real love for Jesus. He has this bushy beard and has really changed since God came into His life a few years ago. We have been in the same church now for about 3 years and enjoy the Lord together. It's funny because the day after He was born again I saw Him at another friend's house and he was burning a whole pile of stuff in an incinerator. I asked "who is that" and was told "That's Nat, He got saved yesterday, He's just destroying some of his 'evil' paraphernalia."
Needless to say about $10,000 of stuff went up in smoke for the glory of God that day, and Nathan has been a top bloke and wonderful friend. Now just think, where would we all be without Jesus. The whole thing actually reminds me of the story in Acts 19:8-20 when the people of Ephesus burnt so many idols and books etc that it amounted to several million dollars worth. Remarkable isn't it.
When someone like Nathan makes a big cut with the past to wholeheartedly follow Jesus it pays off.
Anyway, without further ado, Here he is with a few words.
"G'day, I would just like to say hello, and that it is good to greet you in Jesus Name, as family in Christ. It is always encouraging when David tells us of people coming to know Jesus through the website, and that our family is growing. May God bless you, and lead you in drawing ever nearer to him. Love in Christ, Nathan"
Anything of note happening with you? I've been working hard on a new website. I'm trying to get a chat room for everyone to use but I'm not much of a webmaster (to be honest I'm horrible) but I'm doing my best for the glory of God.
Anyway I've got to go, I'll catch up with you later. Why don't you read that passage in Acts if you can. Also you can catch Nathan at nathan@breakingthedrought.com if you'd like to.
Let's pray the war will be over quickly.
God Bless You
David
